| Last Year, on Sunday October 24th, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. near 300 people gathered for the first IWagePeace Walk along West Haven's beautiful Shoreline. The walk was attended and sponsored by the twenty-three area Churches, Mosques, Synagogues and religious organizations listed on the walk's Tshirt pictured below along with generous donations from businesses and private individuals. Both the religious and non-religious alike enjoyed a great Water Front Walk to show the world our appreciation and respect for diversity among God's children. While walking, we learned more about each other and we donated all proceeds from the walk to the nonviolent action group The Combatants For Peace. |
*Please RSVP*An RSVP is not required, but will help us prepare, so please tell us you are coming, then invite your friends from other faith traditions. Waging Peace can be fun! *PreOrder the 2011 PeaceWalk TShirt* |

| Our Purpose : Fighting fear and xenophobia through our public commitment to each other. This was and is a preemptive peace action, a public declaration that is vitally important during a time when fear misguides our citizens toward mistrust, hatred, and harm. It is our roll as spiritual leaders to show ourselves publicly, so that others, less sure of themselves, will not lose their way, will not succumb to fear, hatred, and harm, but will be drawn to goodness through our very public and common action together. |
